INVITATION FOR BIDS 

SPECIAL EDUCATION STUDENT IN-TOWN TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

The Natick Public Schools, Natick Town Hall, 13 East Central Street, Natick, MA 01760 (“the Natick Public Schools”), acting through the Natick School Committee, invites the submission of sealed Bids for special education student transportation services in the Town of Natick. The Invitation for Bids (“IFB”) may be obtained from the Natick Procurement Office, 75 West Street, Natick, MA 01760, by emailing , between 8:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. local time, Monday through Thursday, and between 8:30 A.M. and 12:00 P.M. (noon) local time, Friday, beginning on April 9, 2018. Sealed Bids, contained in sealed envelopes marked “IFB: Special Education Student In-Town Transportation Services - Bid” will be received until 11:00 A.M. local time, May 3, 2018, at Natick Public Works, 75 West Street, Natick, MA 01760, at which time and place all Bids will be opened. In the event that the Natick Procurement Office is closed due to inclement weather or other emergency, the deadline for receipt of bids shall be extended to the same time on the next business day. All Bids shall comply with the IFB issued by the Natick Public Schools, including, without limitation, Section 1, Instructions to Bidders, and Bid Submission Requirements. The Natick Public Schools reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any, any part of, or all Bids in the best interest of the Natick Public Schools. Any Bid submitted will be binding for thirty (30) days subsequent to the deadline date for receipt of sealed Bids. Award is subject to appropriation and award by the Natick Public Schools.

Natick Public Schools issues this IFB despite the procurement exemption from Chapter 30B of the Massachusetts General Laws.  This contract shall remain exempt from Chapter 30B pursuant to Chapter 30B Section 1(b)(8).  Nevertheless, Natick Public Schools will comply with Chapter 30B to the extent it is applicable.
