NOTICE TO RESPONDERS

 

 

The Town of Natick, Natick Town Hall, 13 East Central Street, Natick, MA 01760 (“the Town”), acting through the Natick Select Board, invites the submission of sealed Responses for Designer Services related roof replacement for the Public Safety Building in the Town of Natick. The Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) may be obtained from the Procurement Office, 75 West Street, Natick, MA 01760, Monday through Thursday, between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. local time, and on Friday, between 8:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M. (noon) local time, by emailing , beginning Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Sealed Responses will be received until 9:00 A.M. local time, Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at the Procurement Office, 75 West Street, Natick, MA 01760.  If the Procurement Office is closed due to weather or other emergency, the deadline for receipt of Responses will be extended to the time posted above on the next business day upon which the Procurement Office is open.  Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 7C, §§44-58, the Town reserves the right to award one contract, if at all, to the most qualified responsive and responsible Responder who complies with the Response Submission Requirements in Section 4 of the RFQ. The award of any contract pursuant to this RFQ shall be subject to appropriation by Natick Town Meeting.  A contract will be awarded, if at all, on a negotiated basis, for a fee not to exceed one hundred and thirty-one thousand and seven hundred and fifty dollars and zero cents ($131,750.00), subject to negotiation and subject to all procedures outlined in the RFQ, pursuant to M.G.L. c. 7C, §§44-58 and all applicable regulations and guidelines.  


 All Responses shall comply with the RFQ issued by the Town of Natick, the provisions of which are incorporated herein by reference. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any, any part of, or all Responses in the best interest of the Town.
 
 A roof study was prepared by Roof Consulting Services, Inc. in January 2020. The study provides a summary of the overall condition of each roof system and will be included as an appendix to the RFQ.   

 

The Project Budget, including construction costs and design fees, has been established at approximately one million and four hundred and forty-nine thousand and two hundred and fifty dollars and zero cents ($1,449,250.00).
