Overview: Elderly & Disabled Taxation Fund

I. Mission:

Good exercise for the heart: reach out and help your neighbor

-Mark Twain

Authorized under Massachusetts General Law in 1999, the Natick Elderly and Disabled Taxation Fund Committee has worked to provide real estate tax relief for the elderly, low income, and disabled residents of the town of Natick. Fully funded from the generous donations of fellow neighbors, the Fund provides local assistance where age and income limitations of state programs may present a barrier to qualification and is a true testament to the spirit of Natick residents to provide assistance to their neighbors in need.

II. Action:

  1. DONATE: If you would like to help a neighbor who is struggling to pay their taxes, you can make your tax deductible contribution here. Every amount donated helps to make a difference.
  2. APPLY: If you are a resident who is currently struggling, we are here to help. Give us a call at the Assessor’s Office at 508-647-6420 for assistance.

III. Impact of Fund (to inspire your generosity):

  1. Over $258k dollars awarded since 1999, across 200+ recipients!
  2. Average donation = $50 per donation (FY23)
  3. Current fiscal rear (2024): $8k+ through May '23, across 155 donors!  (ranging from: 35¢ to $500, per donor)
