Social Media - Terms of Use

Please see the below terms of use for all social media pages, managed by the Town of Natick.

1.  A posting on Social Media page (eg. Facebook) constitutes acceptance of these terms:

  • Comments posted by others are not the opinion of the Town’s departments or staff
  • Posting photos or videos by anyone other than the Town staff is prohibited
  • Town staff reserve the right to remove and/or block anyone who posts inappropriate material, as determined solely by the Town.  Inappropriate material:  
    • seeks to defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or violate the legal rights of others
    • includes racism, hatred, slander, threats, obscenity, violence, or vulgarity
    • contains information that reasonably could compromise individual or public safety
    • attempts to spam or advertise a commercial product or service
    • is off-topic or out of context from the page content
    • has personal information about another person or that violates a person's privacy
    • includes copyrighted material that belongs to another person
    • contains links to inappropriate websites
    • promotes or endorses political campaigns or candidates
    • contains links to phishing content or other content designed to compromise security
    • promotes or publishes the identity of a Town employee without their approval

2.  Any inclusion of third-party hyperlinks, images, or references on the social media page does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by the Town of Natick. The inclusion is simply to provide users with relevant information and resources.

The Town does not, unless required by law, share personally identifying information with any third party.
