Program Options

The Natick Electricity Aggregation Program offers three options, each with a different price and environmental impact.

New electricity accounts in Natick and new program participants are automatically enrolled in Standard Green, the program’s default option. The program also offers two options that are available by request: 100% Green to receive 100% renewable electricity and Natick Basic Brown to receive the minimum amount of renewable electricity required by law.

Comparing Program Options

In 2023, the three options are:

  • Standard Green, which is the default program offering. In this option, 77% of the electricity is sourced from renewable energy content, with 41% coming from Class I renewable projects located in New England.
  • 100% Green, which customers can choose to opt into. In this option, 100% of the electricity is sourced from renewable energy content, with the full 100% coming from Class I renewable projects located in New England.
  • Basic Brown, which customers can choose to opt into. In this option, 58% of the electricity is sourced from renewable energy content, with 22% coming from Class I renewable projects located in New England.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires that all electricity supply products include a minimum of 58% from renewable energy resources in 2023. Natick Basic/Brown meets the minimum requirement. Natick Standard Green and Natick 100% Green exceed this requirement.
