Research shows that while the long-term risks of vaping are still unknown, vaping is addictive and is associated with many poor health effects including chronic lung disease, asthma, and cardiovascular disease. Additionally, vapes contain many chemicals known to be dangerous for human consumption.
Youth use of vapes has risen sharply over the past decade. In 2021, 11% of Natick High School students reported using vaping products in the past 30 days (MetroWest Adolescent Health Survey Data).
