Recycling

The Town of Natick strives to achieve best practices in recycling and waste diversion.

The Town's curbside recycling began in 1995 and was expanded to include all single-stream items in 2006. The Town also has a drop off recycling facility which is available to all Natick residents, business, institutions and commercial operations.

Since implementing Pay As You Throw (PAYT) in 2003, Natick’s recycling rate has increased dramatically, from 23% in the year before the program began to 37% in 2015. This added recycling has saved the same amount of energy that would have been used to power 5,400 houses across the 12 years.
