Sometimes, we want things to be recyclable, so we put them in the recycling bin. Waste managers often call this wishful or aspirational recycling. But, unfortunately, putting these objects in with the rest of the recycling can do more harm than good.” Join Natick Sustainability Officer, Jillian Wilson-Martin to check-in with your home recycling. What changes have happened at our DPW? How to prepare your recyclables before they go into the blue recycle bin. Changes on which plastic items are recyclable.

  1. Monthly Addiction Resource Center: Opioid Overdose Prevention

    6:30 PM - 7:30 PM A free workshop, open to all community members who would like to know how to respond to prevent and respond to opioid overdose. This workshop presented by Katie Sugarman, Prevention & Outreach Program Manager for the Natick Health Dept., will provide participants with an overview of opioid addiction, how to reduce the risk of overdose, how to recognize the signs of an overdose, and how to respond in order to save a life. 7:30 PM- 8:30 PM Naloxone (Narcan) training/distribution and open house of resources for individuals and families including treatment navigation.

    See the 1881 Natick History Museum restored from 11-3:00 ppm at 58 Eliot Street, Lower Level. (Bacon Free Library building) Enjoy a miniature replica of a 1955 Natick Cape House, cast your vote in a 1905 ballot box, and enjoy the new exhibits! There will be artist demonstrations and Old Town Walking Tours at 10:30 am, 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm.
