The Town of Natick seeks an experienced candidate for the above opportunity. This person under limited supervision will be responsible for processing vendor payments in a timely, accurate manner in accordance with Town policy.

In addition, this position will perform monthly and year end account reconciliation and account maintenance.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, as well as, strong problem resolution and customer service skills, attention to detail, heavy data entry, and knowledge of MUNIS.

BUILDING MONITOR, HUMAN SERVICES/COUNCIL ON AGING
Occasional, part-time, hourly, non-benefits eligible position within the Persoonnel Board Pay Plan.  Ensure proper utilization of the Senior Center by groups during the evening (non-business) hours and remain in attendance at all times during group events.
        Timely opening and closing of the Senior Center, ensuring that it is secured properly, and remaining on site while it is in use
        Enforcement of the rules and regulations pertaining to the appropriate use of the facility and parking areas
        Closing and securing the building after use
        Notifying appropriate repair people of any problems and contacting supervisor with reports of any problems

        Emptying trash at the end of events

Must be a high school graduate or equivalent and have a minimum of two years of general work experience.

Chief of Police

The Town of Natick seeks a highly motivated, accomplished and visionary law enforcement leader to serve as the next Chief of Police.

Natick is a suburban residential community with a population of approximately 32,000 located in Middlesex County approximately 18 miles southwest of Boston. The Town covers roughly 16 square miles and hosts the largest retail mall in New England, the Natick Collection located on Route 9.

The Police Chief is a non-civil service position serving as chief administrative officer of the department in all matters of policy, operations, and discipline; appointed by the Board of Selectmen, the Chief reports to the Town Administrator for general administrative and policy guidance.  The Chief is responsible for the planning, directing, coordinating, controlling and staffing of all activities for the department.

The department operations are housed in a modern facility shared with the Natick Fire department.  Staffing is comprised of four Lieutenants, eleven Sergeants, and 37 Police officers. In addition, the Police department oversees a combined (Fire, Medical and Police) Public Safety Dispatch Center, which is comprised of nine full-time and three part-time civilian Dispatchers. The Chief is responsible for labor relations among the three unions that represent the Superior Officers, Patrol Officers, and Dispatchers.

A competitive compensation package will be negotiated with the successful candidate. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in law enforcement; an advanced degree in police science, criminal justice or a related field is preferred.  Candidates must have a minimum of ten years of progressively responsible work experience in law enforcement of which a minimum of five years has been served in a supervisory capacity. Candidates must have completed an academy program authorized by the Mass. Municipal Police Training Committee or equivalent academy acceptable to the MPTC.  A full description of the position and the necessary requirements for consideration are available at Chief of Police Job Description.
