Beginning April 6, The Natick Neighborhood Bus will provide a new pilot project van service for seniors and disabled Natick residents for door-to-door grocery shopping.  On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays of each week, the Van will cover certain areas of Natick in the morning and in the afternoon.  Participants will be picked up at their homes and be brought to the grocery store.  The Van will wait until all participants have completed their shopping and return each person to their home. 

 

Roche Bros. and Stop & Shop are the grocery stores we currently plan to use.  Each week we will rotate grocery stores.  For example, week one will be Roche Bros, week two will be Stop & Shop.  We will continue to rotate in that order.        

 

Passenger pickups will begin at 9:00 am for morning trips and at 12:30 pm for afternoon trips.

Interested participants, please call the Natick Neighborhood Bus office at (508) 647-6446 in advance to make reservations.  See below.

 

Tuesday Trips – call in on Friday by 11:00am

Wednesday Trips – call in on Monday by 11:00am

Thursday Trips – call in on Tuesday by 11:00am

 

There are a limited number of seats available per trip.  Reservation will be made on a first come, first serve basis. 

 

When making a reservation, please leave the following information:

 

  1. First and Last Name
  2. Address – Street name and number
  3. Telephone Number

 

**Please let us know if you require the use of a wheelchair so that we may make the necessary arrangements.

 

  • There will be a six bag maximum per passenger.
  • Numbered bins will separate passenger shopping bags. 
  • Each passenger will be given numbered tags to coincide with their bins.
  • Due to space availability, cases and bulk items will not be permitted.

 

Fare: 

The fare for the shopping trip will be $2.00 round trip.

Payment may be made by cash or by ‘4’strikes on a pink bus pass or ‘2’ strikes on a green pass.
