In order to better accommodates the citizens of Natick, the Board of Selectmen has voted to change the hours of operation for General Government offices in Town Hall. The change will allow citizens and taxpayers to access government services on Thursday Nights until 8:00 p.m. Note that the hours for School Department administrative offices remain unchanged – Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This decision was reached after months of evaluation of the Town Hall schedule to gauge the interest and utilization of evening hours. Since July 1st, Town Hall has operated with extended hours on Monday night. This was thought to be useful as it would coincide with many important night meetings, allowing interested citizens to conduct business and participate in civic affairs. Although some took advantage of this opportunity, other evenings were considered by the Administration and Board of Selectmen and, in the end, it was determined that Thursday evenings would provide the greatest convenience to residents while also enhancing the Town’s collaboration with Natick Center Associates (NCA).
Specifically, Town officials met with NCA representatives, and it was mutually agreed that keeping Town Hall open late on Thursday evenings presents great opportunities for the Town and NCA to build upon their successful partnership. Over time, it is envisioned that Thursday evenings in downtown Natick will be vibrant, with area residents dining in local restaurants, shopping, visiting the library and conducting their business in Town Hall.
The new hours at Town Hall, effective Monday, December 5, are as follows:

The DPW Headquarters at 75 West Street will continue to be open Monday evenings; their schedule is as follows:
