  2. Santa Visit!

    December 10, 2016, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

    Join us in welcoming Santa to the Bacon Free Library! He’s taking a quick break (who knows what the elves will do while he’s away!) from his duties at the North Pole to visit the children of Natick – he’ll have gifts to give out and a lap to sit on! This is one of our most favorite events of the year. We hope to see you there!

    We are collecting new hats, scarves & mittens for A Place to Turn. Feel free to bring them along to put under our tree. We are also collecting gently used winter coats for the town – they will definitely be put to good use.

    Both Santa’s visit and this collection for A Place To Turn are sponsored by the Friends of the Bacon Free Library

  7. History Book Club: Silent Night

    Join us for a fun book discussion on these books of historical fiction and non-fiction. We’ll be reading and discussing Silent Night: The Story of The World War I Christmas Truce by Stanley Weintraub!

    All are welcome to join whether you have a chance to read the book or not! RSVP requested, register in Community Pass or at the desk at Natick Community Senior Center. Copies of the books are on hold at Bacon Free Library and also available as downloads on Minuteman Library Overdrive. Feel free to bring your own cup of coffee or purchase one at the center!

  8. Friends of the BFL Meeting

    Come join the Friends plan for the year of supporting the Bacon Free Library. There are big jobs and small jobs that need helping hands. Last year, the Friends gave the BFL over $16,000 for programs, books/materials, and so much more.

    Here are a few examples of what you could do to help:

    1. Bake for author visits
    2. Man tables at various town functions to help boost the library’s profile in the community
    3. Join a sub-committee – membership, fundraising, etc.
    4. Take on a leadership role
    5. Make suggestions for programming
    6. Help decorate the BFL for the Holidays!
    7. Assist with the planning and execution of the Garden or Kitchen Tours
    8. Give us more ideas – we love ideas!
