2019 Annual Town Election

Voting Information Annual Town Election--March 26, 2019

Here is information on all things related to the Annual Town Election which is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, 2019. Click here if you are interested in filing dates included in the election/political calendar.

Nomination Papers are now Available in the Town Clerk's Office

Nomination papers are due to the Town Clerk's Office by 5 PM on Tuesday, January 8, 2019.   Nomination papers required a minimum of 25 signatures of registered voters

 The following town-wide offices will be filled at the Annual Town Election

  • Two members to the Board of Selectmen for 3 year terms
  • One member to the Board of Selectmen for a 1 year term
  • Three members to the School Committee for 3 year terms
  • One member to the Planning Board for a 5 year term
  • One Associate member to the Planning Board for a 5 year term
  • One member to the Board of Assessors for a 3 year term
  • One member to the Board of Health for a 3 year term
  • Two members to the Recreation and Parks Commission for 3 year terms
  • One Moderator for a 3 year term
  • One Town Clerk for a 3 year term
  • Six Constables for 3 year terms

In addition to the above town wide offices voters will be electing Town Meeting Members.  Town Meeting members are elected to represent specific precincts.  Incumbent Town Meeting members must give written notice of their intent to run for Town Meeting to the Town Clerk by 5 PM on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Nomination papers are now available for Town Meeting members.  These nomination papers require 10 signatures and are due to the Town Clerk's Office by 5 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. 

  • Precinct 1:     10 members
  • Precinct 2:     6 members
  • Precinct 3:     6 members
  • Precinct 4:     7 members
  • Precinct 5:     7 members
  • Precinct 6:     6 members
  • Precinct 7:     7 members
  • Precinct 8:     7 members
  • Precinct 9:     6 members
  • Precinct 10:   6 member
